Partner with operations, engineering, HSE/OE, and commercial teams to identify, assess and mitigate material operational risks, ensuring that critical controls are effective and that residual exposures are appropriately managed through risk mitigation.

What You'll Do
As a Sr. Manager or Risk and Insurance Global, you will partnerwith operations, engineering, HSE/OE, and commercial teams to identify, assess and mitigate material operational risks, ensuring that critical controls are effective and that residual exposures are appropriately managed through risk mitigation or insurance strategies aligned with the Group's risk appetite. This position is responsible for strengthening the management of operational and insurable risks across Dyno Nobel's global operations by embedding structured risk management practices within the business. Other duties include:
  • Contributes to managing major hazard risks across Dyno Nobel's global operations
  • Support the identification of critical controls and strengthening operational risk governance in high-hazard environments
  • Provides subject-matter expertise in operational risk management analysis
  • Support management in improving risk governance, reducing loss exposure and enhancing the quality of risk insights provided to senior leadership.
  • Evaluate operational risk exposures and loss scenarios from an insurable risk perspective, supporting decisions on risk mitigation, retention
  • Support the development and maintenance of risk registers, risk dashboards and risk reporting
  • Support the verification of control effectiveness and continuous improvement of risk mitigation practices.
  • Develop and support risk dashboards, analysis, and reporting to support monitoring of material and operational risk trends across global operations.
  • Partner with operational and functional leadership to strengthen the management of material risks
  • Partners with business units and functions to embed risk thinking into operational planning, project evaluation and strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, manufacturing risk management or a related discipline. Engineering or technical degrees are strongly preferred
  • Postgraduate qualifications in risk management, engineering, business or a related field are advantageous. Professional certifications in risk management or related disciplines (e.g., ERM, ARM, IRM or similar) are desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience in operational risk management, enterprise risk management, or process and operational safety risk management within complex industrial settings.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, mining, energy or other high-hazard sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with structured risk management methodologies, including risk identification, risk assessment, control evaluation and mitigation
