Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, tracking, and managing enterprise projects for a key client in the payments space.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate project planning, host and attend daily stand-up meetings, participate in sprint reviews, lead and play an active role in lessons-learned and retrospectives, active participation and evaluation of sprint and release planning towards delivery of a cohesive project schedule, participate in demos and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Conduct routine planning sessions with the Scrum Master, Client Engagement Manager, and Product Owner for alignment on project plan and roadmap
  • Evaluate sprint/release progress as relative to the project plan
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
  • Leads Projects assigned with ability to properly initiate, plan, execute, control and close work to meet outlined success criteria.
  • Produces Project Plans, Estimates, and Deliverables consistent with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on Project Status, Project Milestones and Issues
  • Prepare estimates of Effort (EOE) and evaluate Estimates to Complete (ETC)
  • Interfaces with internal Business Analysts, Technical Personnel, and Management to assess and determine resource requirements and resolve conflicts
  • Defines standards for Project Management documentation, measurements, and reporting
  • Supports project team with project deliverables as necessary
  • Interfaces with Aperia Solutions clients as necessary regarding project status and issues

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in project management in an Agile environment
  • Experience in delivery of technical software solutions using SDLC methodologies that support Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile models
  • Familiarity with Project Management concepts, deliverables, and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in producing project tracking documentation
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Process orientation with emphasis on measurement and feedback
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams to high performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level
  • Strong work ethic, commitment and teamwork
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Able to work flexible hours, especially during critical project schedules
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • BA or BS Degree preferred
