Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination for multiple concurrent interior design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a strong blend of design sensibility, organizational expertise, and client-facing communication skills. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Coordination
  • Manage multiple high-end residential and/or commercial projects simultaneously from design development through installation and final punch list.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, tracking all milestones across design, procurement, construction, and installation phases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project meetings and site visits, documenting action items, decisions, and follow-ups.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve project challenges related to scheduling, budget, or scope.

FF&E Delivery Coordination
  • Coordinate delivery scheduling and logistics for all furnishings, fixtures, and materials.
  • Manage delivery receipt at the residence, ensuring items are inspected, documented, and placed correctly upon arrival.

Design Support & Documentation
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure specifications and selections are accurate and documented correctly.
  • Review construction documents and drawings to ensure alignment with project scope and design intent.
  • Maintain organized project files, including contracts, specifications, correspondence, and approvals.
  • Prepare client-facing reports, presentations, and budget summaries as needed.

Financial Oversight
  • Track project budgets and monitor expenses to ensure projects remain within approved parameters.
  • Flag potential budget variances early and recommend solutions.

Requirements
Required
  • 5+ years of project management experience within an interior design or architecture firm.
  • Proven track record managing high-end residential and/or commercial projects from concept through installation.
  • Strong knowledge of the FF&E procurement process, construction coordination, and installation logistics.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a calm, detail-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with the NYC vendor landscape, including trade showrooms, custom fabricators, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Gmail and project management tools.

Preferred
  • Experience with Studio Designer or similar project management and accounting software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, or ClickUp.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • NCIDQ certification or equivalent is a plus.
