Job description

New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation. It serves infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and support throughout New Jersey. Join our dedicated staff of more than 500 and make a difference in someone's life!
We are recruiting for an Assistant Supervisor for the Piscataway, NJ location. The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for writing and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs), as well as maintaining familiarity with electronic medical records and having prior experience coordinating client program services, while ensuring regulatory compliance. The qualified candidate should also be highly organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to multitask and problem-solve using strong critical thinking skills is required.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory exp. in a day program or residential setting
  • Experience. working in the ID/DDD field preferred
  • Exp. writing & implementing ISP's
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing
  • Prior exp. Coordinating client program services while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • A valid driver's license in good standing & must be insurable through NJID's automobile insurance.
  • The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for the transportation system, staff vehicle training, and overseeing the ongoing maintenance of vehicles.

Hours Per Work Week: 40 Weekly Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8 am-4:30 pm
