We are seeking a strategic and growth-oriented executive to lead our Life Insurance business and help define what comes next. As Executive Vice President of Life Insurance Sales, you will drive premium and net revenue growth, lead a high-performing sales leadership team, strengthen relationships with advisors and carriers, and define strategies that expand advisor adoption and accelerate growth.

This is an opportunity to influence and help grow a $62M+ target life premium business, lead a talented team, and drive meaningful impact across a growing distribution platform. This is a highly visible leadership role that partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive growth, strengthen distribution capabilities, and deliver measurable impact across the organization.

If you bring deep life insurance expertise, strong sales leadership, and a vision for growth, we’d love to talk.

What you’ll do:
  • Drive life insurance premium and net revenue growth across the business.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Vice Presidents of Life Insurance and supporting teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Define and execute strategies that increase advisor adoption, expand growth within underperforming segments, and support hybrid advisor opportunities.
  • Build scalable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices that improve production and consistency.
  • Strengthen relationships with insurance carriers, AE advisors, and strategic partners, while representing Advisors Excel in external meetings, events, and industry forums.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve advisor experience, remove barriers to growth, and enhance sales support through stronger operational collaboration.
  • Support innovative advisor support models and growth initiatives that advance life insurance production.
  • Provide strategic recommendations, performance insights, and forecasts to executive leadership.
Experience you’ll bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in life insurance, financial services, or a related distribution environment.
  • Proven success driving growth through teams and leading sales leaders in a multi-level organization.
  • Deep knowledge of life insurance products, sales concepts, underwriting, and distribution strategies.
  • Experience managing complex relationships across advisors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to define strategy, influence advisor behavior, and translate growth opportunities into results.
  • Strong executive communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience in BGA, IMO, carrier, or related life insurance distribution models.
  • Advanced Markets or life insurance planning experience.
  • Experience supporting hybrid or non-traditional advisor channels.
  • Familiarity with Indexed Universal Life, Long-Term Care, and protection-based product strategies.
Location and Travel
  • This role is based onsite as part of our work-from-work culture, where collaboration and connection are central to how we operate. This position is expected to be based in Kansas, with relocation required within 6–12 months.
  • Regular travel, including overnight stays, is required, with approximately 50–75 nights of travel expected annually.
What you’ll get:
  • Amazing benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k (with matching options)
  • Generous PTO package from your start date
  • Access to an on-site café, gym and primary care
  • Continuous personal and professional development opportunities
  • Recognition for hard work & exemplary performance
  • Employee sponsored events…and more!
