Description

The primary role of this position is to supervise and control the activities and operation of an Optical Outlets office.


Essential Functions


Train new hires for various positions within Optical Outlets offices


Supervise and control operation of the office to ensure that they operate in compliance with all company personnel and security policies, and approved procedures


Maintain all product, equipment, and supplies in the office. Inform the District Manager of trends, needs, or problems


Maintain office operations within controllable expense budgets such as payroll, overtime, supplies, and maintenance


Comply with proper promotional, merchandise, and display policies and practices


Maintain positive patient/customer and public relations by ensuring follow-up on any patient/customer complaints


Establish professional relations with all doctors, whether they are leasing, employed, or referring


Provide coaching in new product introduction, technical and selling techniques to all office personnel


Supervise and follow up on all insurance and any other required billing for office


Responsible for reconciling all financial reports including but not limited to bank deposits, returned checks, insurance payment posting, daily-weekly-monthly reports, A/R reports


Supervise and coordinate all Doctor appointment scheduling


Notify the District Manager and Home Office Personnel of recruiting, labor, training, or wage and salary issues in their office


Request approval from the District Manager for any wage increases regarding all subordinates in the assigned offices


Inform the District Manager of any quality or patient flow problems that exist in assigned offices


Coordinate with the District Manager on security-related matters


Inform the District Manager of any significant changes in the office concerning operating or procedural changes needed


Perform all tasks assigned by District Manager

Requirements


Job Specifications


Typically has the following skills or abilities:


Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience


Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business-related environment 


Optical experience preferred


Proven track record in leading overall team performance and understanding of optometric business processes and strategic development


Ability to recruit, facilitate, train, coach, and develop excellent patient centric staff


Ability to present and implement decisive and creative solutions to issues/opportunities to grow the business


Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet or exceed customer expectations as well as foster positive staff, doctor and team relationships


Ability to manage priorities through adaptability, willingness to take calculated risks, and follow-up

Working Conditions


The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
