Job description

Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 (Base + Performance Bonus)

We're a growing home service company in Mohave County HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical and we're hiring our first-ever Operations Manager. This is a brand-new seat at the table. You won't be inheriting someone else's job; you'll be building one.

Here's the honest pitch: we have a great team, a strong customer base, and real growth ahead of us. What we don't have yet but want to is the operational discipline of a company twice our size. We want to be process-driven. We're not there yet. That's where you come in.

This is a true partner role. You'll own day-to-day operations, drive the team toward their numbers, and have real latitude to shape how we run. You'll work closely with our two owners, who lead the vision and strategy of the business. You bring the operational eye and ground truth; they bring the bigger calls. Together, we steer the ship.

If that sounds like exactly the kind of role you've been waiting for, keep reading.

What You'll Actually Do

Forget the standard job description bullets. Here's the real shape of the role:

  • Lead and develop our department managers Service, Call Center, and Install. You'll have direct reports who manage their own teams, and your job is to make them better leaders, not to do their jobs for them.
  • Own the operational rhythm of the business the daily huddles, weekly flash reports, monthly reviews, and the cadence that keeps every department accountable to their numbers.
  • Drive the team to budget. You'll partner closely with each department manager on their KPIs, conversion rates, hiring needs, and game plan for hitting their numbers month after month.
  • Build process where there isn't one yet. Some departments are humming. Others need structure. You'll be the one bringing order to the parts that need it, without smothering the parts that don't.
  • Be the connective tissue between departments. When the Call Center and Service need to align, you make it happen. When Install and Service trip over each other, you fix it. Cross-functional leadership is half this job.
  • Coach managers through hard moments. Accountability conversations, performance issues, and growing-pain moments are part of the work. You'll need to be comfortable having direct conversations and helping others have them too.
  • Partner with the ownership team on strategy, planning, and growth. You'll work closely with our two owners bringing the operational eye while they bring the bigger calls. Together you'll steer the company forward.

Who You Are

We're looking for a specific kind of leader. If most of this sounds like you, we should talk:

  • You've done this before or something close to it. You've led operations or multiple departments in home services or a similar service-based business (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, restoration, pest control, commercial services, property management, or comparable). Industry transferability matters more than the exact logo on your resume.
  • You can read a P&L and tell a story with it. Financial fluency is non-negotiable. You don't need to be a CPA, but you need to understand departmental margins, KPIs, budgets, and where the money is being made or left on the table.
  • You build people. The managers who report to you should be measurably better six months after you start than they are today. If your instinct is to do the work yourself instead of developing the team to do it, this isn't the right seat.
  • You're direct and warm at the same time. You can have a hard conversation without being a jerk, and a kind conversation without being soft. The team should know where they stand with you.
  • You think in systems. You see a recurring problem and ask what's broken in the process, not just whose fault it is. You document what works. You build playbooks. You make the business less dependent on heroics.
  • You're ready to put down roots in Mohave County. This is an on-site role. Not hybrid. Not remote. If you don't live here, you need to be excited about moving here.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • ServiceTitan experience (we run on it).
  • Multi-location operations experience (we have two branches).
  • A background that includes both the office side and the field side of a service business.

What You Get

  • $120,000$165,000 in total compensation (base + performance bonus tied to company results).
  • A real partner seat with the ownership team of a growing, profitable company.
  • The chance to build the operational backbone of a company that's ready for it and the autonomy to actually do it.
  • A team that genuinely cares about each other and about taking care of customers.
  • Room to grow with the company. As we expand, your seat does too.
  • Mohave County living boating, sunshine, no traffic, and a real community.

What We Offer:

  • Company Paid Health Insurance
  • Company Paid Short Term Disability
  • Voluntary Dental/Vision
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Supplemental life insurance, and long-term disability available
  • 401k Plan with a company match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Company Paid Holidays
  • Ongoing Training
  • A family-oriented culturewhere we support one another, celebrate wins, and have fun along the way.
