Toddler Lead Teacher (2-Year-Old Classroom)
Location: The Learning Experience - Ledgewood, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Pay: $18 per hour
The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom. This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who enjoys creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports toddlers as they grow in independence, communication, and social skills.
Our center uses a consistent, play-based approach that helps children feel secure while exploring and learning through daily routines and hands-on experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a 2-year-old classroom in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate setting
  • Implement The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Support daily routines including potty training, meals, rest time, and transitions
  • Mentor and guide assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and quality
  • Observe, document, and support children's developmental progress
  • Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication
  • Maintain compliance with NJ DCF licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications:
  • CDA credential preferred
  • Minimum 6 months classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children (1+ year preferred)
  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
  • CPR and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to meet all New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
