In this role, you will lead training, documentation, reporting, and performance measurement for enterprise physical security systems protecting people, facilities, data centers, and critical assets. You will help ensure these technologies are understood, used consistently, and supported by accurate procedures and actionable metrics.

This senior individual-contributor role requires strong analytical, communication, and program-management skills combined with knowledge of access control, video management, biometric authentication, cabinet security, key management, and related technologies. Systems may include Lenel Access Control, Alcatraz AI, Digitus, Traka, Milestone, and associated reporting and monitoring platforms.

You will partner with Physical Security, Operations, Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Data Center Operations, project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to improve system adoption, operational consistency, data quality, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage training programs for enterprise physical security systems, processes, and operational standards.
  • Create instructor-led, virtual, and self-service training for system administrators, operators, analysts, technicians, and other users.
  • Conduct training-needs assessments and develop role-based learning paths, reference materials, exercises, and knowledge checks.
  • Measure training effectiveness and improve content based on feedback, assessments, system changes, and operational results.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, user guides, workflows, data definitions, troubleshooting guides, and other system documentation.
  • Use Confluence or similar knowledge-management platforms to organize, publish, govern, and maintain technical and operational content.
  • Establish documentation standards, templates, review cycles, version controls, and ownership requirements.
  • Define key performance indicators for access control, video management, biometric systems, cabinet security, key management, and related technologies.
  • Develop dashboards and reports covering system availability, incidents, device health, user activity, data quality, training, service performance, and operational trends.
  • Use Jira, Jira dashboards, or comparable work-management tools to track incidents, requests, risks, corrective actions, projects, and performance metrics.
  • Configure and maintain Jira workflows, filters, reports, dashboards, and tracking standards that provide clear visibility into workload, status, ownership, and results.
  • Analyze physical security data to identify risks, recurring issues, performance gaps, training needs, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Use SQL queries, spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools to retrieve, validate, reconcile, and interpret system information.
  • Establish metric definitions, reporting standards, data-quality controls, and consistent measurement methods.
  • Present findings, trends, risks, and recommendations to technical teams, operational leaders, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Support system implementations and changes through communications, training, documentation, readiness assessments, and adoption plans.
  • Coordinate with engineers and system owners to translate technical changes into clear operational guidance.
  • Track corrective actions and improvement initiatives resulting from audits, incidents, metrics, and user feedback.
  • Use approved AI tools, including ChatGPT and Codex, for research, data analysis, documentation, training development, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Review AI-generated work for accuracy, confidentiality, security, privacy, and compliance before use.
  • Serve as a senior resource and mentor for analysts, system users, administrators, and operational teams.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in physical security systems analysis, training, documentation, reporting, operations, or a comparable technology environment.
  • Working knowledge of access control, video management, biometric security, cabinet security, key management, or related physical security technologies.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical or operational training for multiple audiences.
  • Experience in creating standard operating procedures, user guides, workflows, and knowledge-base content.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or comparable tools for tracking work, documentation, collaboration, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to define metrics, develop reports, analyze trends, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to use SQL queries, spreadsheets, dashboards, or business-intelligence tools to analyze and validate data.
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify documentation inconsistencies, data-quality issues, and process gaps.
