DayForce Implementation Consultant

Job Summary
Next Generation, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an Implementation Consultant to support the successful deployment of Ceridian DayForce solutions across a variety of clients. This role participates in all stages of the implementation lifecycle, including discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The Consultant is responsible for gathering requirements, configuring the solution, managing expectations, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with the Project Manager and client stakeholders. The role may also provide Organizational Readiness consulting and guidance to Associate Consultants. We are very open to candidates who have implementation experience in a different HRIS system and are excited and ready to be cross-trained and certified in DayForce. This role can be fully remote, or hybrid in Dallas, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project plans to ensure timely, on-budget delivery
  • Lead client discovery sessions, document business requirements, and map them to DayForce functionality
  • Configure Ceridian DayForce modules to meet client needs
  • Facilitate solution design, configuration, unit testing, integration testing, training, and deployment activities
  • Conduct consulting sessions (phone, video, or in person) and prepare meeting documentation
  • Attend internal project meetings and provide updates on tasks, deliverables, and risks
  • Advise clients on DayForce best practices to maximize ROI
  • Collaborate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and third-party partners to ensure successful implementation
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of employee data
  • Perform data audits and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide post-deployment consulting assistance in assigned functional areas
  • Develop SQL scripts and XML transformations for integrations and interfaces
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for assigned functional areas
  • Support Organizational Readiness activities to prepare clients for solution rollout
  • Review client policies periodically and recommend improvements based on industry best practices

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of software implementation experience
  • Experience with SaaS/Cloud solutions, ideally HRIS/HCM platforms
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems: Salesforce, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, Ceridian DayForce (preferred)
  • Ability to configure and deploy endtoend HRIS modules
  • Strong understanding of HCM processes and workflows
  • Experience in business process mapping; change management experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL and XML
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and clients
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops and client sessions
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel on a limited basis
