Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time Exercise Specialist Supervisor to support the employees of a retail company's global headquarters located in Beaverton, OR. In this role you will manage and direct all Exercise Specialist operations and staffing including support of member engagement events.
What you will do:
  • Assist with overseeing daily operations of a large corporate fitness center.
  • Lead and develop the Exercise Specialist team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a motivating workplace culture.
  • Design and implement engaging fitness, wellness, and health programs for employees.
  • Drive continuous improvement through client and team feedback, ensuring high-quality services and member satisfaction.
  • Track and report member consultations, program participation, and special event activities
  • Manage member account inquiries and payment processing.
  • Support member engagement initiatives, fitness and wellness events, and other site activities.
  • Ensure the Exercise Specialist team maintain required certifications and complete all onboarding, training, and continuing education requirements.
  • Perform the tasks of an Exercise Specialist when necessary.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Exercise Science, Dance, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Business Management, etc.) and/or a current NCCA-accredited* Personal Training Certification
  • One or more years of leadership and/or management experience
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Ability to multi-task, execute time management and problem-solving skills, organization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to hire, coach, train and develop staff.
  • Up-to-date awareness of industry standards of excellence in exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design)
  • A basic understanding of the principles of exercise, and of cardio, strength and flexibility programming
  • Ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with clients and guests
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and finance/payroll systems.
