Job description

Hybrid Role - Sandy Springs HQ. Blend finance & analytics to uncover insights, explain variances, support forecasting, and drive operational performance. SQL & Power BI exp preferred

Job Purpose:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial and business information and analysis in support of the company's reporting, forecasting and planning processes. The analyst will provide financial support to assist business leaders in identifying variances in performance, levers to improve performance and work to implement solutions. Some areas of responsibility include but are not limited to data modeling, business analysis, forecasting/budgeting and compliance with corporate and governmental regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

Extract and analyze financial, economic and operational data to support activity-based modeling and profitability proformas for domestic customers.
Assist in the preparation of various analyses to support operational efficiency throughout the company's supply chain to ensure business is conducted in a safe and profitable manner.
Work across several business areas to understand key drivers of profitability and work with business leaders to create the necessary measures and reporting to support the company's strategic initiatives.
Assist in preparation of capital requests to support client needs.
Support monthly executive business review summary process and will be an active participant on reviews.
Responsible for review and support of P&L and balance sheet reporting and addressing any issues or variances.
Responsible for monitoring the monthly close activities and understanding unusual entries and/or accruals.
Manage various projects of a financial nature at a local, regional, or national level.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Comfortable working with large amounts of data in an efficient and scalable manner.
Working knowledge and direct application of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow concepts.
Problem solving skills; ability to understand and structure issue resolution.
Time management skills and capacity to manage priorities and respect and meet important deadlines.
Must be detail oriented and exercise precision in work.

Work Experience:

1-3 years of related job experience. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment. Ability to work quickly and efficiently. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful). Strong planning and organization skills are required.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
