Position Summary

The Home Health Account Executive is responsible for developing and growing referral relationships within an assigned territory and increasing awareness and utilization of Preferred Care Home Health services.

This position is ideal for a results-driven healthcare sales professional with an established network of referral sources and a proven track record of generating home health referrals.

The Account Executive will serve as a trusted resource to referral partners while working closely with Preferred Care's clinical and operational teams to support patient growth and provide an exceptional experience for patients, families, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with healthcare referral sources throughout the assigned territory.

  • Generate new patient referrals and increase referral volume through strategic business development.

  • Build relationships with physicians, hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare providers.

  • Identify new business opportunities and strategies to increase market share.

  • Educate referral sources on Preferred Care Home Health's services, programs, and capabilities.

  • Serve as a trusted liaison between referral partners and the Preferred Care clinical and operational teams.

  • Maintain strong communication with referral partners throughout the referral and admission process.

  • Represent Preferred Care at networking events, community outreach activities, healthcare meetings, and industry events.

  • Monitor referral activity, territory trends, and business development opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and referral relationships.

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to support patient growth and exceptional customer service.

  • Stay current on home health services, industry trends, and applicable Medicare and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of successful home health sales or business development experience.

  • Established home health book of business and referral relationships.

  • Existing relationships with healthcare referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, SNFs, ALFs, rehabilitation centers, and other providers.

  • Proven track record of generating and growing patient referrals.

  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales and business development goals.

  • Strong knowledge of the local healthcare market and referral landscape.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

  • Strong communication, presentation, networking, organization, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and operational teams.
