Responsible for developing and enhancing current reporting capabilities for business users. This role designs and develops a strategy that assists business users in mastering customer and financial information to make better business decisions, specifically using master data management and data integration tools.
Essential Job Duties
  • Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining.
  • Perform master data management design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
  • Create and support the ETL process to extract the data from source systems and place it into the data warehouse.
  • Work closely with data owners and stewards to optimize data models, user interfaces and workflows by consuming business requirements and developing solutions as required.
  • Design MDM model schematics and layouts.
  • Create and implement effective metrics and monitoring processes for mastered data to ensure it meets quality standards defined by the business owners.
  • Develop processes and procedures for ingesting information into master data management systems and for ensuring its reliability.
  • Seek continuous improvement in the performance of the master data, integrations from consuming systems and ensure the security of data.
  • Implement procedures for maintenance, monitoring, backup, and recovery for the master data and related systems.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience required; Fully competent professional; In-depth knowledge and experience.
  • Software development experience.
  • Experience with Semarchy xDM, Informatica MDM or other master data management platforms.

Preferred Requirements
  • No Preferred Education Required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
  • No additional competencies required.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
  • Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
