Job description

General Definition of Work
Serves as a primary resource for the ACCG Insurance Programs' Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) regarding data analytics, trends, performance dashboards, and data-driven decision support for the team and members. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Insurance Programs or their designee.
Position Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Risk Intelligence
  • Prepare and analyze exposures, risk control, policies, and claims data across all ACCG Insurance Programs.
  • Identify trends, patterns, emerging and high-risk areas as needed.
  • Translate data into practical recommendations, tools, and action plans for the team, members, and prospects.

Performance Dashboards & Reporting
  • Maintain performance dashboards that track key metrics, such as injury rates, vehicle accident frequency and severity, training completion, and status of corrective actions.
  • Create member-specific risk profiles and benchmarking reports that compare performance across similar members and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare risk intelligence reports and presentations for ACCG leaders, pool boards, and members as needed.

Technology & Data Management
  • Support the integration efforts of RMIS systems by proofing the data, documents, and reports.
  • Implement and support optimization of risk management information systems (RMIS) internally and externally.
  • Ensure data integrity, standardization, and security across all data sources and reporting tools.

Incident Tracking, Benchmarking & Best Practices
  • Develop and manage centralized incident tracking systems, capturing key data elements for analysis
  • Identify root cause patterns across incidents and members, working with risk control consultants to design targeted interventions.
  • Benchmark ACCG members' performance against public entity best practices, highlighting high-performing members and sharing success stories and tools.

Underwriting, Pool Support & Training Data
  • Collaborate with ACCG pool leaders, claims, underwriting, and risk control teams to integrate data into pool design, pricing, and member engagement strategies.
  • Support development of member incentives, grants, and recognition programs based on measurable risk profiles.
  • Collaborate with the Training and Engagement Manager to analyze Learning Management System (LMS) data, track training completion and competency, and support training-related reporting.

Regulatory Reporting & Governance
  • Provide data needs for regulators, board governance, strategic planning, and external reporting as required.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, statistics, business administration, actuarial science, computer science, risk management, or a related field; or 3+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, statistics, and risk management information systems.
  • Experience developing executive-level dashboards and presentations for non-technical audiences preferred.
  • Experience with public entity risk pooling programs, insurance analytics, or related sectors preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of contemporary office procedures;
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Skill in oral and written communication;
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and utilizing word processing, databases, spreadsheets, presentation software, report writers, and others as needed;
  • Proficient with RMIS platforms Riskonnect and Origami, LMS systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems.
  • Comfortable working with data to identify meaningful trends;
  • Skilled in presenting data in clear, intuitive formats for diverse audiences;
  • Able to effectively conduct work activities via phone calls, visits, virtual meetings, and training activities while working remotely and without direct supervision;
