Central Insurance is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead a high-impact team responsible for delivering data-driven insights and advancing enterprise data capabilities. In this role, you will oversee the development of analytics solutions, data models, and data architecture that enable informed decision making and support key business initiatives across the organization.
This position is ideal for a strategic leader who can translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions while developing talent and driving performance. You will help usher in the use of AI to enhance regulatory reporting and analytics, shaping how data is leveraged by ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation while building strong partnerships and fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
  • Oversees a team of Data Analysts responsible for assisting the enterprise Information Technology organization with construction of data warehouses by building and delivering data models and data mining applications for business units.
  • Analyze and validate financial data; identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies
  • Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory reports accurately and on time
  • Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans and delegates assignments to the team(s)
  • Manage the data analysis and design of analytics products across a focused area of the Central Insurance business value stream to enable data driven business decisions that will drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals
  • Translate complex business requirements into data requirements and work with internal customers to define data requirement details based on expressed partner needs
  • Lead structured, end-to-end analysis to inform product strategy, data architecture, and reporting decisions
  • Analyze existing datasets and interfaces to understand and document current state data architectures
  • Design future state data architectures by applying data requirements, data profiles and business rules to current state architectures in alignment with best practices and standards
  • Drive data architecture that enforces consistency across the data landscape with an emphasis on single sources of truth
  • Perform extensive data profiling to understand data behavior and business rules
  • Thoroughly document data architecture solutions, business requirements, training material and business processes for both business and technical audiences
  • Drive adoption of and socialize data products with end users through user training
  • Leverage frameworks for repeatable validation of data integrity within data products supporting accurate and consistent reporting and analytics
  • Support standard methodologies in data analysis: data integrity, unit testing, data quality control, system integration testing, modeling, validation, and documentation
  • Adequately staff the Data Analytics team while adhering to the analytics budget
  • Lead and develop others by building skills through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training & development
  • Foster strong and meaningful relationships within the team, across the organization, and with corporate partners
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand needs and provide insights that help meet profit, growth, and expense goals

Required Qualifications
  • Masters' degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years related experience
  • Or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years related experience
  • Or 6 years related experience

  • Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Experience defining data architectures to support data visualization tools
  • Experience defining data architectures to support semantic data layers
  • Experience with cloud environments
