Job description

The New York City office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney.

 The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in handling D&O management liability, employment practices liability, and other professional liability claims. This position also requires a minimum of 2 years of experience serving as coverage and monitoring counsel for Lloydโ€™s of London program matters. This position also offers flexibility with a hybrid work arrangement.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, dynamic national firm of more than 250 attorneys, where you will work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing insurance policies
  • Drafting coverage opinions, reservations of rights and disclaimers
  • Monitoring D&O, EPL, LPL and E&O cases across the U.S.
  • Retaining and communicating with defense counsel for Insureds
  • Preparing bordereau and other clients-specific reports
  • Reporting and meeting with underwriters and program producers

Qualifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • 3 to 5 years of experience interpreting D&O, EPL, LPL, E&O and various other insurance policies
  • Drafting coverage opinions and coverage letters
  • 2+ years of experience with Lloydโ€™s of London program accounts, highly preferred
  • Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Base Salary Range: $140,000-$185,000
