The Position

Wilson Elser's New Jersey office is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance coverage group.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with partners and attorneys on complex insurance coverage matters
  • Draft coverage opinions and coverage position letters
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, and manage discovery in coverage litigation matters
  • Advise clients on a broad range of insurance coverage issues
  • Communicate directly with clients and prepare detailed reporting and analysis

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York
  • 5+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience
  • Experience handling coverage matters in New York, New Jersey, and other jurisdictions
  • Strong background drafting coverage opinions involving: Commercial General Liability (CGL), Excess Coverage, Professional Liability, Directors & Officers (D&O), Property Coverage
  • Experience with both first-party and third-party claims
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
