What is an insurance claims internship?

An Insurance Claims Internship is a short-term, practical training program designed for students or recent graduates interested in learning about the insurance industry. Interns in this role assist claims adjusters and other professionals in processing insurance claims, investigating cases, and communicating with clients. The internship provides hands-on experience in claims handling, exposure to industry regulations, and the opportunity to develop skills such as attention to detail, analytical thinking, and customer service. Interns often help with data entry, prepare reports for adjusters, and learn to analyze policy coverage. This hands-on experience is designed to give you foundational knowledge of the claims process and prepare you for more advanced roles in the field.
