Job description

Organization Overview

AVIXA (the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) is the leading global trade association for the $300 billion, professional audiovisual (Pro AV) industry and the broader community of professionals and organizations that design, integrate, and manage immersive experiences across corporate, education, entertainment, retail, hospitality, healthcare, government, and emerging digital environments. Founded in 1939 and rebranded from InfoComm International to AVIXA in 2017, the organization's evolution mirrors the industry's shift from equipment-based AV to integrated experience ecosystems intersecting with architecture and design, experiential marketing, IT, digital media, and increasingly artificial intelligence.

Headquartered in Reston, VA, AVIXA is a global industry association with approximately 200 employees and a significant volunteer infrastructure that includes board leaders, committee members, and industry ambassadors worldwide. The association serves the industry in more than 80 countries and has intentionally diversified its geographic footprint; today, less than half of its revenue is U.S.-based, with substantial growth across EMEA, Asia, and Latin America reflecting the global expansion of the Pro AV market.

AVIXA's audience includes commercial AV manufacturers, global technology brands, systems integrators, consultants, and technology managers. Exhibitors at its trade shows include multinational corporations such as Samsung, Panasonic, and LG, alongside emerging innovators. Certified professionals work within large global integrators such as AVI-SPL and Diversified, as well as smaller regional firms. Through its CTS certification, standards development, market research, and education programs, AVIXA advances professional excellence and workforce development across the industry.

AVIXA generates ~ $100million in annual revenue, with roughly 77% driven by customer marketing investments, including trade show exhibits, sponsorships, and event participation from over 9000 customers globally. A global portfolio of 8-10 trade show events including InfoComm and ISE serve as premier annual global convening platforms for product launches, partnerships, and innovation. As the industry becomes more software-driven and AI-enabled, the industry is looking to AVIXA for expanded thought leadership, research, and greater product and industry innovation at the association level.

The organization has also demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership diversity and industry inclusion, supported by an active Women's Council and a decade of women serving as Board Chair. With a global staff team and an extensive volunteer network, AVIXA requires a CEO capable of leading and growing a complex international enterprise, that is committed to serving as the hub for the AV professional and a catalyst for market growth while driving meaningful product innovation and value creation.
