Becoming an insurance broker requires obtaining necessary licenses, which involves passing exams and meeting state or national requirements. Success in the role depends on strong communication skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to build client relationships, with some experience preferred. The job can be competitive and may involve working long hours or managing multiple clients.

How much do insurance brokers get paid?

Insurance brokers typically earn a combination of base salary and commissions, with average annual earnings ranging from $40,000 to $80,000. Experienced brokers with a strong client base can earn over $100,000 annually, especially when working in specialized or high-value markets. Compensation often depends on sales performance, certifications, and the region they operate in.

Is insurance broking a good career?
