Job description

The Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience counseling insurers and litigating coverage and bad faith matters across a broad spectrum of policies and claims. They will assist insurers in evaluating coverage issues and drafting coverage opinions. Additionally, the candidate will represent insurance companies in litigation in state and federal courts, including the proactive filing of declaratory judgment actions and defense of coverage litigation involving allegations of โ€œbad faithโ€ and other types of claims. Strong research and writing skills are required, as is admission to the Illinois Bar.

Our Insurance Coverage Practice focuses on interpreting contracts of all kinds and representing insurers in complex coverage claims. Such representation includes monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
