Job description

The Dental Business Admin Assistant position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors as they enter the dental office. The role includes scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, updating patient records, collecting payments, filling insurance claims, verifying insurance benefits, following up on overdue insurance claims, and filling out specialty referral forms. The Business Admin Assist. must maintain a professional demeanor and provide a warm welcoming atmosphere for all patients and staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner  

Schedule appointments and confirm upcoming appointments

Manage patient records, update information, and file paperwork

Collect payments for services rendered and file insurance claims

Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquires and provide information needed

Follow-up on unpaid insurance claims and unpaid patient balances

Monitor Providers schedules and make sure that they stay full

Manage Recall systems and make sure patients are being scheduled

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

previous experience in the Dental Field of at least 5 years

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment

Dental Assistant experience is a plus

Dental Practice Software systems a must. Dentech is a plus
