Job Opportunity and Responsibilities:

Stable Rock is seeking a highly collaborative, skilled and detail-oriented Manager to join and support the Accounting & CFO Services team. The ideal candidate will play an important role by preparing and analyzing financial information and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of businesses across different industries and at different stages of their lifecycle, contributing to their financial health and success. This position features a hybrid work arrangement, blending in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of a client's business and aspects of their industry.
  • Client write ups and prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Review and prepare clear and concise working papers.
  • Organize and consult with clients on transactional issues.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients.
  • Preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other management reports.
  • Assisting and maintaining clients' annual operating plan/budgets.
  • Provide training for new clients and staff in the use of shared software applications.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and projects concurrently with assigned teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and build and maintain valued-added relationships with clients and their teams.
  • Contribute to special projects, as needed.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or related experience. Experience in Client Account Services is a plus.
  • Certifications: CPA certification required.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ability to apply them to financial reporting and analysis.
    • Ability to manage multiple clients/projects and deadlines and handle a fast-paced environment where you can work both autonomously and, in a team-oriented setting.
    • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Initiative, commitment to professional development, attention to detail, and client service excellence.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
    • Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
  • Software and Technology: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, knowledge of accounting G/L software such as Xero, QuickBooks (desktop and online), NetSuite, and Sage Intacct. Knowledge of E-Commerce platforms, inventory and SaaS software a plus.

Location: Hybrid (New York, NY or Elmsford, NY)

Compensation: Highly competitive all-in comp ($100,000 to $130,000)
