Job Description:
Our Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases. The candidate must also be able to sell a complete line of welding, industrial and safety hard goods. Outside sales representatives should utilize all sales and marketing tools available to expand sales at existing customer accounts and develop relationships with new customers. Representatives are responsible for identifying customers' specific needs and recommending the best solutions for that customer. In addition to growing existing accounts and bringing new customers into the Gas and Supply group, sales representatives support accounts receivable collection efforts.
Job Duties:
  • Schedule appointments and visit existing customers to review product needs and determine other opportunities.
  • Provide product quotes.
  • Organize and attend joint sales calls with Vendors.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Continuously update customers on product changes and modifications.
  • Attend Trade Shows and Conferences.
  • Liaison between customers and the company for up to date status of service, pricing and new product release launches.
  • Prepare reports for marketing and sales and keeping expense accounts.
  • Keep up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending additional training and departmental meetings.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Efficient and effective problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately against deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team with local workers as well as team members from other regions.
  • Maintain neat, clean and professional personal appearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Sales and/or Local Branch Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Outside sales experience with industrial or welding supply distributorship preferred.
  • High school diploma required or equivalent.
  • We welcome applicants with practical experience; formal education such as a Bachelor's Degree or Two Year Technical Degree is appreciated but not required.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, safety supplies and equipment, and industrial equipment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
