Branch Operations Manager
Note: Our Branch Managers have the potential to earn $500 or more monthly in incentives based on branch production goals
Reports to: VP of Branch Sales and Operations
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Under the direction and supervision of the AVP of Branch Sales and Operations, Guides branch office staff in providing quality service to members in the areas of account transactions, loan applications, new accounts, and solving problems within established policies and guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for the branch staff and their departments in every aspect of function and performance.
Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the member experience is courteous, attentive, and efficient at all times, and all member relations included, but not limited to complaints, concerns, problems, etc. are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff.
  • Schedule office staff, including PTO and all other time off, to ensure adequate staffing for efficient branch operation.
  • Maintain time cards and time sheets for all branch staff.
  • Evaluate the job performance of branch office staff to ensure quality of work and service to members.
  • Maintain and re-order office equipment and supplies inventory.
  • Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor office activity, including the number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, new accounts, etc.
  • Perform Loan Processor duties, including loan interviewing and processing.
  • Complete all title paperwork, research loan values and research vehicle history reports.
  • Assist members in solving account problems.
  • Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch.
  • Balance, replenish and maintain ATMs.
  • Oversee safe deposit box rentals, and maintain computer generated fee for annual rental.
  • Assist in performing various member transactions including opening and closing accounts (checking, savings, Share Certificates, IRAs) withdrawals, transfers, etc.
  • Council members with financial problems.
  • Understand and is accountable for executing all job functions (and subordinates' job functions) in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Program (CIP). Note: Failure to comply with requirements may be subject to strong disciplinary action, up to and including termination by the credit union, as well as civil and criminal penalties.
  • Coach and develop branch staff pertaining to job performance.
  • Be knowledgeable of and be able to complete all duties of the Head Teller and FSR.
  • Exercises prudent care when making decisions to benefit members and protect the credit union from loss.
  • Performs as a leader who interacts with staff and members to ensure fair and unbiased treatment of all.
  • Manage the security and safety for the branch, with responsibility to maintain the alarm system and to alert staff of any changes.
  • Ensures application of and compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Resolves difficult member issues and exercise authority to make appropriate exceptions to policy and procedure.
  • Supports the credit union's vision and philosophy and actively participates in training sessions and special promotions.
  • Seeks out, trains, and mentors' potential candidates for leadership positions within the credit union.
  • Stays informed of credit union products, services, procedures, new developments, and knowledge of the competition and their products.
  • Implement new programs and services in the branch.
  • Manage branch facility, with responsibility for its overall physical maintenance.
  • Produce and mail adverse action notices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
