ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
Founded in 2012, Daniel Parker State Farm is a Tulsa-based agency serving individuals, families and business owners throughout Oklahoma. Our team brings together more than 165 years of experience across insurance and financial services, with professional backgrounds that include commercial insurance, banking, residential lending, customer service and financial services.
Our work goes beyond routine policy transactions. We work with established households, professionals and business owners whose needs can become more involved as their families, assets and businesses grow. Our team conducts household insurance reviews, works with commercial insurance, life and retirement planning, ongoing account service and more complicated customer situations. That variety creates opportunities for team members to broaden their knowledge and develop professionally.
Daniel has more than 25 years of insurance and financial-services experience, earned a B.S. in Biomedical Chemistry from Oral Roberts University and holds FINRA 6, 63 and 65 registrations. His agency is also a six-time State Farm President’s Club recipient.
Our culture is professional, growth-minded and supportive. We value technical knowledge, thoughtful customer conversations, accountability and consistent follow-through. Experienced team members coach and support one another, and employees who demonstrate the ability and initiative to take on more are given opportunities to grow their responsibilities and careers.
Team members also enjoy health, dental and vision benefits, up to a 4% 401(k) match, paid time off, birthday lunches, team outings and a well-equipped break room with a full kitchen, stocked drinks and gourmet coffee. Giving back is important to us as well, including our involvement with CarePortal supporting foster children and families facing difficult circumstances in our community.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As Account Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member for Daniel Parker - State Farm Agent, you help grow our agency by building new customer relationships and helping prospective customers understand their insurance and financial options. You ask thoughtful questions, identify needs, explain coverage clearly and guide conversations toward appropriate decisions.
This role is designed for someone who enjoys meeting new people, creating opportunities and turning conversations into long-term customer relationships. You will have the freedom to take initiative, follow up consistently and develop business through agency opportunities, personal relationships and referrals. The right person is confident asking for the business while maintaining a thoughtful, needs-based approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop new customer relationships through agency leads, referrals, personal networking and proactive follow-up.
  • Conduct needs-based conversations to understand household, business and financial priorities.
  • Explain insurance coverage, options and tradeoffs in clear, practical language.
  • Recommend appropriate auto, home, liability, business and other insurance products based on customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities for conversations involving life, retirement and broader financial needs.
  • Work with households whose needs may include multiple vehicles, properties, teenage drivers or greater liability exposure.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective customers and maintain relationships with people who may not be ready to make a decision immediately.
  • Ask for referrals and develop new opportunities from existing customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with experienced team members when a prospective customer’s needs require additional knowledge or perspective.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and customer information, documentation and follow-up.
  • Meet individual production goals while maintaining a professional, consultative approach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2–5+ years of insurance, financial services, banking, lending, business development or consultative sales experience preferred.
  • Property and casualty insurance license strongly preferred.
  • Life and health insurance licensing is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop new relationships and move conversations toward decisions.
  • Confident making recommendations and asking for the business
  • Takes initiative and creates opportunities rather than waiting for opportunities to come to them.
  •  Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable asking thoughtful questions and discussing multiple customer needs.
  • Motivated by measurable production goals and agency growth.
  • Strong follow-up habits and ability to maintain relationships over time.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with an experienced team.
  • Comfortable working through objections and helping customers understand tradeoffs.
  • Professional, accountable and receptive to coaching.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills are highly valued; proficiency in additional languages is also a plus.
If you are a confident, relationship-driven professional who enjoys creating opportunities, helping people make informed decisions and seeing your efforts contribute directly to growth, we’d like to hear from you.
