We’re currently seeking an Account Administrator  for one of our premier communities.

Job Overview:

The Account Administrator is responsible for Yardi record keeping including receivables, collections, payables (in some cases), and move-out accounting for operations of the apartment community, managing to company objectives and property operating budget, with the primary objectives of increasing the net operating income of the property and establishing a positive, productive working relationship with the property team members The Account Administrator will promote the company's Mission Statement and ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures, fostering an organizational culture aligned with corporate values.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum Experience/Training/Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in accounting is desirable.
    • 1–2 years of experience in computerized accounting.
    • Additional experience of 3+ years and advanced skills in spreadsheet management are preferred.
    • Proficient in basic computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets. Yardi software experience is an asset.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional desired qualifications:
    • Some college accounting classes
    • Yardi experience and 3+ years computerized accounting experience and spreadsheet
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Performs sedentary work.
    • Requires use of telephones and computers.
    • Must be able to climb stairs when entering Resident Services Offices.
    •  Occasionally requires lifting 20 pounds or less.
    • Must be able to walk apartments, grounds, and docks (where applicable), including steps and steep gangways.
    • Must be able to drive to various property locations as needed.
  • Equipment and Tools Used:
    • Computer, computer printer, telephone, fax machine, photocopier, calculator.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Daily posting of receivables, returned payments, late fees, and bank deposits in Yardi.
    • Monitor delinquent accounts, prepare collection documents, and handle move-out accounting.
  • Collections and Reporting:
    • Oversee collection processes for former residents, including reporting to Safe Rent. 
    • Generate Yardi reports and meet revenue targets through effective account management.
  • Resident Relations:
    • Address resident complaints within company guidelines, ensuring professional and efficient service.
    • Update resident information accurately in Yardi, auditing files and security deposits when needed.
  • Administrative and Financial Assistance:
    • Assist with policy interpretation and implementation.
    • Answer incoming calls promptly, and recommend strategies to reduce expenses and maximize revenue.
    • Perform other required tasks as required.
