Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Insulation SupervisorJob Description

Lead and supervise mechanical insulation crews on industrial and commercial construction projects. Coordinate daily work activities to ensure project schedules and milestones are achieved.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Plan manpower, equipment, and material needs for each phase of work.
  • Install and oversee installation of insulation systems on piping, ductwork, tanks, vessels, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
  • Install and supervise the application of aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, and other protective jacketing systems.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and insulation team members.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure all work meets project specifications and company standards.
  • Communicate project progress, schedule updates, and jobsite issues with project managers and clients.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of mechanical insulation experience.
  • Prior experience leading crews as a Supervisor, Lead Insulator, or Supervisor.
  • Strong understanding of insulation systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and project specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Proficient with measuring, layout, fabrication, and installation techniques.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as project schedules require.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with insulation, ductwork, sheet metal, and HVAC installations.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
