Job description

1. Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
2.

Performs work as directed by Foreman and Journeymen Fitters.
3. Assists fitters with assemble, mount and installs control panels, instruments, associated sensing devices that measure, indicate, transmit, record and control.


4. Assemble and install instrument stands, brackets, trays, clamps and hangers as required to properly secure instrumentation and other associated components.
5.

Measures, cuts, threads and installs small bore piping typically associated with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
6. Assist with tubing bending and installation.


7. Perform pressure testing of installed tubing and small bore pipe as required to prove integrity of system.
8.

Works in a timely manner, accurately per instructions and, maintains an orderly and clean work area.
9. Performs regular maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and instrumentation (both installed and pre-installed).


10. Physically able to work within a construction environment; including extensive walking, climbing, confined spaces, elevated work areas and lifting of tools and equipment up to 40lbs.

Typically requires at least 6 months of industrial construction experience.
