SOLAR INSTALLER
About Seal Solar: Seal Solar is a leading Arkansas-based solar energy solutions firm. It brings together the latest technology and a certified team to help homeowners, businesses, government entities and farmers control their rising energy costs and save money.
Brief Description: A solar installer is responsible for installing solar panels on building and household locations, ensuring that the methods and tools adhere to safety regulations and practices. Solar installers manage the maintenance and repair of the solar panels, requiring them to perform fieldwork and travel often. They also identify the measurement and compatibility of solar panels to the clients' locations before the installment. Our ideal candidate has excellent physical stamina for lifting and mounting solar panels on our clients' roofs and knows how to use power tools.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical/structural mounting of racking modules and electrical equipment
  • Assembly of mounting hardware
  • Attic work in homes and businesses to verify structural attachment
  • Working on residential and commercial roof tops as well as installing ground-mounted systems
  • Pulling inventory for specific projects
  • Following layout of solar modules
  • Maneuver heavy equipment and box truck (with proper license and DoT certifications)
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, methodology and safety in person or online
  • Perform PV system service as required

Reports to: Project Manager
Qualifications: High school diploma. 1-2 years in construction or roofing is preferred, valid driver's license, experience in mechanical installations, general construction and ladder work, experience in using hand-held and power tools, basic understanding with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems, team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates, visual thinker good at problem solving and implementing ideas.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
