Position Overview:


We're looking for a compassionate, mechanically inclined Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and helping people.


This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong mechanical abilities and enjoys figuring out how things work. Experience in medical equipment is helpful, but experience in construction, automotive, HVAC, electrical work, equipment installation, or another hands-on trade can also translate well to this position.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technician, you'll deliver, assemble, install, service, and troubleshoot a variety of medical equipment and accessibility solutions in customers' homes and facilities.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering, assembling, and installing medical equipment, mobility products, and accessibility solutions.
  • Installing stairlifts, wheelchair ramps, vertical platform lifts, grab bars, bathroom safety products, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues and performing repairs when needed.
  • Ensuring installations are completed safely, accurately, and according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Educating customers and caregivers on the proper use and maintenance of their equipment.
  • Working closely with our sales and customer service teams to provide an outstanding customer experience.
  • Maintaining accurate service and installation records.
  • Keeping company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for daily work.
  • Representing On The Mend professionally and treating every customer with patience, respect, and kindness.


Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and natural problem-solving ability.
  • Previous experience in equipment installation/repair, construction, automotive, HVAC, electrical work, or a similar hands-on trade is preferred.
  • Basic electrical and technology knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage a daily schedule and travel between customer locations.
  • Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work and lifting/moving equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to participate in manufacturer and in-house training.
