Tasks and Qualifications:

What you Will Do in This Role:

  • Actively manages safety, scope, quality, time schedule, budget, risks and opportunities for the projects in area of responsibility.
  • Directly responsible for leadership, management, and supervision of the installation projects.
  • Plans, organizes and directs large complex projects. Must be able to make quick decisions on complex project issues and provide follow through "SQDCP":
  • Safety - Must be very safety conscious and provide overall project safety leadership.
  • Quality - Focuses the team on high quality installations - install right the first time
  • Delivery - Plan & Manage installation schedule in collaboration with Project Management
  • Cost - Provide monthly bottom-up EAC forecast and Earned Value Tracking.People - Actively manage project resources and provide feedback to the Resource Team
  • Responsible for reviewing project documents, plans and specifications, directing installation activities, resolving construction difficulties, coordinating field installations, project close-outs, and developing and/or maintaining customer/client relationships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of drawings, mark & unit summaries and Dematic's Installation Standards.
  • Lay out project work and ensure that materials, tools, equipment, etc. are scheduled in a timely manner to meet scope, budget, and project construction schedules.
  • All responsibilities to be accomplished within standard operating procedures, project costs, time constraints, and quality standards.
  • Performs regular performance evaluations of resources to support the development of individuals reporting to the Resource Team.
  • Assists with routine equipment trial runs to ensure that it meets specifications and ensure equipment is installed to Dematic standards.
  • Provide additional assistance with training of subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other MHE equipment.
  • Provides direction for all installation site personnel. Provides guidance and direction for daily Site Coordinator activities.
  • Support Change Management
  • Support Dematic Initiatives, Travel requirements, 80% as required.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Regular Safety Audit reviews
  • Review Status and Staffing weekly, adjust manpower plan accordingly.
  • Review Quality on a weekly cadence (Punch List Elimination)
  • Establish Project Plans at time of project turnover
  • Maintain Project Plans throughout the project lifecycle, monitor and alter the plan based on earned value status.
  • Drive the onsite Teams, create an "all for one" approach to Execution
  • Support the Resource Team with resource feedback OSHA training or certificate preferred
  • Physically able to traverse construction site environments
  • Working experience with material handling equipment preferred, but not required.
  • Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend up to 80% of the time traveling. Dematic offers opportunity to go home monthly or more.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts - offer OT compensation
  • Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations
  • Must be able to write concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.
  • Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers, data base functions and communications. Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
  • High School or equivalent experience required
  • Strong leadership skills; Strong planning and coordination skills with attention to detail
  • MS Word and Excel experience required Bi-lingual, English and Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Point and able to navigate MS Project
  • Project Management Training or knowledge of Project Management Methodologies
  • Knowledge of Lean Guiding Principles (TIMWOOD- Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting, Overproduction, Overprocessing and Defects)
