Job description

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City, a DH Pace Company, Inc., located in Olathe, Kansas is hiring an experienced Midwest Regional Operations Manager with a strong background in service & installation process improvement initiatives; process creation, procedural refinement and solution design. Must have a well-rounded business acumen and bring effective team building strategies.

 Position Overview:

  • Directly impact and shape the Midwest Commercial Service and Installation Operations by proactively evaluating and assessing how current operational and sales activities are carried out by exempt and non-exempt personnel
  • Make appropriate recommendations for operational and sales procedural/process improvement changes, and implement with a goal of increasing customer satisfaction while delivering healthy profit margins and return on sales that meets or exceeds the annual financial budget/forecast at all Midwest office locations
  • Leverage operations / process improvement expertise in a consultative manner with personnel to give employees the confidence that they can trust your leadership and any changes they are expected to adopt in their daily work activities, thus becoming the "go to resource" for operational assistance, advice, guidance and career mentoring
  • Ensure staff carries out daily tasks in their respective areas with utilization of the company's best practices, policies and procedures
  • Use division financial reports (daily, weekly and monthly) and metrics for review and utilization in the management of daily operations
  • Travel up to 25% to the Midwest Region's Branches and Satellite offices (Wichita, KS, Topeka, KS, Columbia, MO, Joplin, MO, Springfield, MO, and Little Rock, AR).
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Prefer a minimum seven (7) years of management experience; preferably experience managing multiple locations, but will also consider single location management experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Travel is up to 25% within the Midwest
  • Analytical ability to evaluate operational processes, procedures, financial results, survey feedback and other metrics and determine cause/effect relationships. Able to isolate key information and determine the impact of process or procedural changes
  • Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems
  • Proficient with Windows based programs and ERP/CRM systems
  • Other duties as assigned
