Work hours: 45 hours/week, Monday - Saturday, ~8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday - 8 hours/day

Wednesday - 8 hours/day

Thursday - 8 hours/day

Friday - 8 hours/day

Saturday - 5 hours/day

Job Duties:

On farms, assisting team leads in maintaining and repairing livestock buildings. Workers will assist team leads with repairing and installing curtains, feed tanks, feeders, feed lines, and gates. Will also assist with tin sheeting walls, installing doors, and caulking structures. Clean sites. Common hand power tools will be used.

The employer will furnish, without cost, all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. Crews will be responsible for vehicles, tools and equipment assigned to them. Deductions will be taken for lost tools, misuse causing damage and destruction of tools and equipment. Vehicles must be kept clean and deductions will be made for necessary cleaning, damages, due to misuse, and reckless operation.

None. No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

One month of livestock equipment installation/repair experience required.

Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs for 75yds.

Extensive walking or sitting is required.

Frequent stooping or bending over is required.

Repetitive movements are required.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 03/24/2025). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
