Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Residential HVAC Install Helper and kick-start your career in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry! In this energetic role, you will assist experienced technicians in installing HVAC systems. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop mechanical skills, gain hands-on experience with HVAC equipment, and learn industry best practices. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will be key as you support the installation of air conditioning units, furnaces, and related systems in homes, ensuring comfort and efficiency for our clients.
We are a small, busy, family owned shop located in Lakeville with an immediate opening for a residential HVAC installer helper.
We offer: No weekends; 4 - 10hr days; No on call; 5 Paid Holidays; Paid Vacation Time; Time and a half paid for time worked over 40 hours and over 10 hours a day, 401k, and Medical.
The ideal candidate would have 1-3yrs experience and be reliable, honest, knowledgeable, motivated.
Days begin and end in Lakeville and we cover mainly the south metro. You must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Assist senior technicians in installing HVAC systems according to specifications
  • Prepare job sites by gathering tools, equipment, and materials needed for installations
  • Help with the setup and connection of refrigeration units, boilers, and other mechanical components
  • Support the safe handling of HVAC equipment including ductwork, piping, and electrical wiring
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment during installations and maintenance
Requirements
  • Prior experience (1-3yrs) in HVAC; a strong willingness to continue to learn is essential
  • Mechanical knowledge with HVAC related tools (vaccum pump, gages, ect); an interest in HVAC systems and appliances repair
  • Familiarity with field service procedures and customer service focused
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
