Supervisor, Commercial Sales Support

To oversee the work of the Commercial Sales Account Coordinator team and the Commercial Package Policy New Business Coordinator team. To effectively build relationships and communicate directly with agencies and underwriting. To develop and maintain a direct relationship with Michigan Agency Partners to provide direct commercial policy placement and renewal support. To oversee the commercial sales field teams' current and new business sales support. To build and maintain a permanent repository of commercial accounts supporting the sales team for reference by the Manager, Commercial Field Sales; Statewide Sales Directors; and Commercial Underwriting Management. To refine our best practices related to commercial submissions for new and renewal terms and advise the teams charged with project management in the commercial arena. To manage the Michigan Farm Bureau County policy programs for all stakeholders. To provide the proper workflow, documentation, and structure for efficiently tracking, compiling, assigning, and coordinating the commercial sales teams and Farm Sales Specialist (FSS) teams policy premiums, commissions, and overall production.

Oversee the support team work with Michigan Agency Partners (MAP), Commercial Sales Specialists (CSS), Commercial Marketing Partner (CMP). Commercial Lines Marketing Representative (CLMR), Contractor Corner Sales Specialist (CCSS) and Commercial Sales Advisor (CSA) teams and assist Farm Bureau Insurance agents with application completion both in Farm Bureau Insurance and Community Service Acceptance Company (CSAC), dba FB Partners Group, including the initial applications sent in for quoting.

Work with the Commercial Sales Account Coordinator team and the Commercial Package Policy New Business Coordinator team to install best practices, refine current processes and ensure quality production form all team members. To develop the commercial knowledge in all team members through FBI and third party programs. To provide support for training and education material development.

Oversee the timecard tracking, review and approval needs for all necessary team members.

Work closely with the Commercial Field Sales Manager and Statewide Sales Director teams to review and provide guidance on departmental budget needs for consideration.

Work with marketing team members to assign, track, and maintain accurate records for all Commercial Sales Team Members and Farm Sales Specialist team members in concert with the primary agent of record. Work with premium production teams to track new and existing premium production for commercial and farm divisions.

Work with all Commercial Field Sales Team members to develop, deploy, and maintain a Sharepoint-based commercial account repository for marketing and underwriting disciplines to reference while the team builds and binds commercial cases.

Assist in the onboarding and continued development of new Commercial Sales Specialists, Commercial Lines Marketing Representatives, and Commercial Marketing Partners.

Prepare and finalize applications for all lines of business with Farm Bureau and FB Partners Group policies for Farm Bureau partner agents.

Prepare quotes with Farm Bureau Insurance for all commercial lines, including communications with Underwriters regarding specific accounts for proper classification and needed Underwriting items.

Support the ongoing efforts to build and publish a commercial presentation program for all agents to utilize.

Bind Farm Bureau commercial cases and work directly with the agent on follow-up items including, but not limited to, loss run, photos, and Building Valuation System (BVS) details.

Complete and prepare renewal reviews for agencies and Commercial Sales Specialist review on existing policies, by utilizing commercial industry knowledge. Complete coverage recommendations and quotes as needed.

Work with FB Partners Group on policy quoting, coordination, communication, carrier negotiations and coverage comparisons, and have detailed discussions with agencies on those cases. Market cases to proper brokers and carriers for all new business submissions.

Work with team members to evaluate individual capacity and assign tasks as required based on the ongoing growth of all our commercial programs.

Handle FB Partners Group renewal work directly with agencies. Review newly attached coverage forms and changes needed for discussions with agents with any needed recommendations.

Complete binding process for all Commercial Sales Specialists-related business with FB Partners Group.

Support all Commercial Sales team members in developing strong relationships with agents. Be the go-to Marketing person to promote the use of the program in a print format or electronic format. Work directly with agents who utilize the Commercial Sales Specialist team to answer billing, customer service, claim, and coverage questions.

Work in a training capacity to assist agents and their staff to learn the commercial lines customer service representative functions, such as certificates of insurance, binders, and endorsements.

Carry out agent training and telephone billing support for FB Partners Group and Farm Bureau business.

Work directly with agent staff on coordination of writing certificates of insurance. Collaborate with the Commercial Service Center team to provide insight, guidance and feedback on commercial writings.

Provide support for projects on an as-needed basis.

Required
Bachelors degree required, or equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum eight years of insurance industry experience required.

Experienced computer usage and proven skills in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.

Advanced Guidewire Policy Center experience required.
Keyboarding skills of 60 wpm with accuracy required.
Active property/casualty license required, or must be successfully obtained within 90 days of employment.


Preferred

Four years of commercial account experience preferred.

Knowledge and ability to utilize Agency Management System preferred.

Certification in CISR preferred.

Certification in CIC preferred.
