Job Description Summary
Crean College of Health & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a creative, professional, and highly motivated student employee to support career marketing, student engagement, employer relations, and career-focused events.

This part-time position provides an opportunity for a student interested in marketing, communications, event planning, social media strategy, healthcare/behavioral sciences industries, or higher education to gain hands-on experience developing marketing campaigns, creating digital content, supporting professional events, and engaging with employers and industry leaders.

The ideal candidate is someone who is creative, organized, confident in communicating with professionals, and passionate about creating engaging experiences for students. This student ambassador will work closely with the Career Advisor for Crean College and will have opportunities to interact with employers, alumni, executives, and community partners.

This position may continue through Spring 2027, subject to performance and departmental needs.
Responsibilities Responsibilities
Marketing & Social Media Support
  • Create professional marketing materials using Canva, including:
  • Event flyers
  • Social media graphics
  • Digital promotional materials
  • Student engagement campaigns
  • Assist with developing creative strategies to increase student participation in career programs, workshops, fairs, and events.
  • Stay current on social media trends and recommend innovative ways to engage Chapman students.
  • Assist with creating content for social media platforms, including Instagram posts, stories, reels, and other digital campaigns.
  • Maintain consistent branding and visual quality across promotional materials.
Career Event & Program Support
  • Assist with planning and executing career-related events, including career fairs, graduate school fairs, and networking events.
  • Support event logistics, including:
    1. Event setup and breakdown
    2. Student check-in
    3. Employer and guest support
    4. Promotional efforts
    5. Student engagement activities
  • Help create welcoming and professional experiences for students, employers, alumni, and campus partners.
Employer & Professional Networking Support
This position would sometimes require off-campus travel to represent the college at events.
  • Represent Crean College professionally when interacting with employers, alumni, graduate school representatives, and community partners.
  • Attend select external professional networking opportunities alongside the Career Advisor, which may include:
    1. Employer networking events
    2. Community engagement events
    3. Charity events
    4. Professional gatherings
  • Comfortably engage in conversations with professionals, including executives, CEOs, and industry leaders.
  • Dress professionally (business casual) and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in professional settings.
