Job description

Supervise children attending the child watch program.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHILD WATCH ATTENDANT:

  • Lead children through fun interactive activates such as arts & crafts, gym games and so much more.
  • Create positive lasting memories for each child, each day.

*This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE ACHILD WATCH ATTENDANT:

  • 15 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide childcare.
  • 6 months or more work experience preferred.
  • Ability to relate to, supervise, and provide age-appropriate activities to children, ages 1 month to 6 years.
  • Possesses mature judgment and sound decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members, peers, and supervisor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA membership and programs.
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
