Job description

SAMBAZON, named one of Inc. Magazineโ€™s Best Workplaces for 2025, is seeking a highly strategic, entrepreneurial, and hands-on Senior Brand Manager, Brand & Innovation to help drive the next chapter of growth for the category-leading aรงaรญ brand. This individual will play a critical role in shaping brand strategy, accelerating innovation, and delivering breakthrough consumer experiences across our frozen and beverage portfolio.

The ideal candidate combines best-in-class brand management experience from a leading CPG company with the agility and entrepreneurial mindset developed in a smaller, high-growth organization, ideally within the food and beverage industry. They are equally comfortable developing long-term growth strategies, translating consumer insights into compelling opportunities, and rolling up their sleeves to execute in a fast-paced, lean environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on builder who enjoys operating at both the strategic and tactical levels. The Senior Brand Manager will have significant ownership and autonomy, while also being comfortable personally driving analysis, developing presentations, managing project details, and bringing initiatives to life from concept through execution.

This position offers a generous benefits package, annual bonus opportunity, and year-round half-day Fridays. It is a hybrid role (2 days/week in office) based out of our San Clemente, California office, with a target salary of up to $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Growth

  • Support the development and execution of annual brand strategies, growth plans, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Lead brand positioning, messaging, packaging optimization, and consumer communications initiatives.
  • Translate consumer insights, category trends, competitive intelligence, and business analytics into actionable growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales and Shopper Marketing to develop cohesive consumer, customer, and retailer strategies.
  • Monitor business performance, synthesize key learnings, and develop recommendations to drive household penetration, velocity, and brand equity.
  • Develop compelling business cases and executive-level presentations to influence cross-functional and leadership decisions.


Innovation Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end innovation process from opportunity identification and concept development through commercialization and launch.
  • Identify emerging consumer trends and whitespace opportunities across frozen, beverage, functional wellness, and adjacent better-for-you categories.
  • Partner closely with R&D, Operations, Sales and Finance to develop products that deliver compelling consumer experiences and strong business fundamentals.
  • Lead concept development, positioning, claims, packaging strategy, and launch planning grounded in consumer insights.
  • Manage consumer research including exploratory insights, concept testing, sensory learning, and post-launch performance analysis.


Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a highly accountable project leader who can move initiatives forward from strategy through execution.
  • Collaborate closely with project management and cross-functional team to ensure achieving timelines
  • Balance strategic thinking with a willingness to dive into the details and personally create the work needed to move initiatives forward.
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset, continuously optimizing initiatives based on consumer feedback, business performance, and marketplace learnings.
  • Thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment where every team member contributes beyond traditional role boundaries.


Qualifications

Required

  • 6โ€“10 years of progressive brand marketing experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Strong foundation in brand management at a leading CPG company, complemented by experience applying those capabilities within a smaller, entrepreneurial food and/or beverage organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading innovation from opportunity identification through commercialization and launch.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive alignment across Sales, R&D, Operations, Finance, and external partners.
  • Proven ability to translate consumer insights, category trends, and business analytics into actionable growth strategies.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced organization where leaders own both strategy and execution, including personally leading analysis, presentations, and project management.
  • Highly organized self-starter with a builder mentality, strong ownership, and a bias for action.
