Job description

Essential Functions

  • Conducting Application Testing: Perform evaluations to help customers determine the optimum product and treat rate to meet quality and performance targets.
  • Data analysis and interpretation: Accurately recording experimental data, analyzing results, and drawing conclusions to determine the suitability of products for specific applications.
  • Technical support: Providing expertise to customers by troubleshooting issues, answering technical questions, and suggesting product modifications to optimize performance.
  • Method development: Designing and optimizing new testing methods tailored to customer needs, including sample preparation techniques.
  • Customer interaction: Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and present product solutions.
  • Laboratory maintenance: Ensuring proper operation of laboratory equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks, writing technical reports, and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out projects as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform fuel applications tests.
  • Document test data by recording in daily logs; equipment record books; laboratory notebooks.
  • Effectively communicate testing results to supervisor.
  • Operate and maintain Lab equipment in functioning order by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; scheduling repairs.
  • Work as team to develop and implement test plans for quality oversight and customer projects

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Experience of the industries affiliated with the business in a technical role
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
  • Demonstrate knowledge of chemical processes and production scale up
  • Excellent analytical skills and good communicator
  • Good influencing, persuasive and team working skills
