The Manufacturing / Engineering Trainee role is designed to develop future engineering and operations talent while strengthening technical support within Manufacturing.
Essential Functions
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations with technical troubleshooting and process improvements
- Assist in the identification, design, and execution of capital improvement projects
- Partner with engineering and plant teams to optimize production processes and efficiency
- Contribute to project scope development, design, and cost estimation activities
- Support development and maintenance of operating procedures, P&IDs, and plant documentation
- Participate in process safety initiatives, including hazard analyses, risk assessments, and compliance activities
- Assist in ensuring adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and HSE policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, safety, quality, and operations teams
- Participate in a structured rotation across manufacturing sites to gain broad organizational exposure
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- 0–3 years of relevant experience a plus
- Exposure to manufacturing, chemical processing, or oilfield services environments
- Basic understanding of process safety, operations, or project engineering
Environmental Restrictions
- Ability to perform essential job duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, including offices, facilities, and external job sites.
- Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
- Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and operating tools or equipment as necessary to perform job responsibilities.
