Mold Operator (Injection Molding)


Location: Saint Petersburg

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)


Shift:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 3:15 PM – 11:15 PM
  • Mandatory Saturday overtime as production requires

We're seeking an experienced Mold Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with injection molding experience who enjoys working in a clean, climate-controlled facility and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

What You'll Do


As a Mold Operator, you will:

  • Set up and operate thermoplastic injection molding machines.
  • Perform mold and tooling changes to support production schedules.
  • Monitor machine performance and production quality.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
  • Maintain production materials and inventory.
  • Coordinate workflow with machine operators and material handlers.
  • Train team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
  • Assist with additional production duties as needed.


Qualifications


Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of injection molding or manufacturing experience
  • Experience setting up and operating thermoplastic injection molding equipment
  • Ability to perform mold and tooling changes
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts using measuring tools
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift (Hi-Lo) experience or willingness to become certified


Physical Requirements


Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift up to 40 pounds (assistance available when needed)
  • Stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Frequently bend, stoop, and reach
  • Perform repetitive hand movements and machine setup
  • Visually inspect parts for precision and quality
