Job description

Summary:

An Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for the spectrum of the Injection molding process. This includes setting up, tearing down, troubleshooting molding process and adjusting cycle when necessary. Equipment maintenance including presses and auxiliary equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Typical duties include mold changeovers, set-up/start-up, and processing injection molding machines.
  • Identifying and resolving process related issues ensuring proper quality by adjusting process parameters.
  • Equipment troubleshooting including minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnosis.
  • Maintaining a focus on safety in everything we do.
  • Establishing processing for new tools and new materials for existing tools.
  • Maintain processing records and documents to ensure repeatability in quality.
  • Communicate issues, concerns, and status to appropriate personnel such as Quality Dept, Tooling, and Maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of injection Molding.
  • Ideally, this candidate should be self-directed, results oriented, and have a strong technical background in injection molding with a willingness to be very hands-on and solutions focused.
  • Have knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatics.
  • Be willing to continue education for optimization in injection molding processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Additional skills desired:

  • Must have 2+ years of experience in direct or similar field of work.
  • Experience in injection molding.
  • Experience in setting up injection molding.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams for electrical circuits, controls, and panels.
  • Strong knowledge of single phase and three phase electricity, (up to 480V.)
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Team player that wants to be a part of a positive workplace environment.
