Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for an Injection Molding Engineer located in Jacksonville, FL!

The IMM Engineer performs a variety of plastic injection molding process and mechanical assignments applying both process and mechanical engineering fundamentals. Works at an advanced technical expertise level involving planning, development, assessing machine run-ability, and strategy to improve molding performance. Responsible for developing preventative maintenance strategy based on assessment data to assure high quality products and IMM reliability. Supports activities involved with sub-contractors/vendors from beginning of design process through installation and start-up processes. Acts as advocate for continuous improvement of technology and processes. Takes an active role in front-line IMM support i.e., breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, training programs, etc. Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans and executes moderately complex change control projects requiring conceptual evaluation, design and validation.
  • Plans and executes moderately complex qualification of new equipment/controls and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet engineering standards.
  • Identifies and implements standard methodologies of project management.
  • Participates in technical design reviews for machine requirements and manufacturing/product specifications.
  • Provides training and support to Operations Engineers and Technicians to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NCR's, CAPA's, etc).
Qualifications

Education:

  • University/Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience
Preferred:
  • Operations experience in manufacturing, production
  • Experience working with vendors to select, source, quote, and procure off the shelf and custom designed components.
  • Experience working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment.
Other:
  • English Fluency is required
  • 10% Travel
