Brief Description

The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise and administering comprehensive physical security programs designed to protect employees, visitors, facilities, critical infrastructure, and organizational assets. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining physical, technical, and procedural security measures that support facility protection, emergency preparedness, and organizational resilience in alignment with BRA's Strategic Plan and long-term resiliency objectives. The Physical Security Specialist serves as the organization's primary technical resource for physical security operations, providing organization-wide guidance and collaborating with staff across all BRA locations to support effective security practices and protective initiatives. Duties include performing vulnerability assessments; developing security plans; coordinating with facility personnel; maintaining protective equipment; collaborating with law enforcement; and communicating challenges, findings, and recommendations to the Chief Technology Officer. The position exercises independent judgment in evaluating security risks, recommending appropriate protective measures, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, applicable regulations, and recognized industry standards. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and performs other related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum seven years' experience related to physical security, critical-infrastructure protection, law enforcement, or security operations.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License and Good Driving Record Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; degree-related knowledge is expected to be applied in daily responsibilities to the benefit of the organization.
  • Certified Security Specialist,
  • ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
  • Certified Risk Management Professional
  • Infrastructure Protection Certification, and have the ability to obtain an FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification
