Job Description:

Airbus in North America is looking for a Facilities Management & Real Estate / IT Project Manager to join our Digital Solutions team based in Mobile, Alabama or Grand Prairie, Texas.

You will be part of a team developing digital and facilities infrastructure transformation initiatives across Facilities Management & Real Estate (FMRE), Security, and Corporate Services. As part of the Digital (IM) North America team, you will be involved in multi-site Agile roadmap execution, infrastructure project delivery, backlog maturation, and User Story writing within the SAFe framework aiming at deploying compliant, high-value regional IT and facilities infrastructure solutions aligned with global Airbus architecture.

Meet the Team

You will be part of the Digital (IM) North America division within the Corporate Services & Legal domain. Operating as an execution leader within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), our multicultural team bridges global IT capabilities with regional site needs across North America and collaborates daily with technical delivery teams, facilities leads, and engineering partners in North America, Europe, and India.

Your Working Environment

This position offers a hybrid work model (minimum 80% onsite presence) based in either Mobile, AL or Grand Prairie, TX. In Mobile, you will be located on 'Airbus Way' at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility at Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, home to our A320 Family and A220 production lines. In Grand Prairie, TX, you will be part of a key regional hub supporting critical corporate and business operations. This role includes up to 20% domestic and international travel to key sites including Mirabel (Canada), Atlanta (GA), Mobile (AL), and Toulouse (France).

How We Care for You

  • Financial Rewards: Competitive base salary, incentive compensation which may include profit sharing schemes, retirement savings plan and the ability to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan ("ESOP").

  • Work/Life Balance: Paid time off including personal time, holidays and a generous paid parental leave program.

  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical (traditional and high-deductible health plans), prescription, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan ("EAP"), and other supplemental benefit coverages.

  • Individual Development: Upskilling and development opportunities through our global Leadership University, including unlimited access to 10,000+ e-learning courses focusing on ways to develop your employability, certifications, career path as well as the opportunity to participate in accelerated development programmes and both national and international mobility.

Your Challenges

  • Infrastructure & Multi-Site Delivery: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle and physical deployment of facilities technology, building security, and IT infrastructure solutions across major regional sites (specifically synchronizing Mirabel, Mobile, and Atlanta).

  • Agile Backlog Maturation: Translate complex functional and physical infrastructure requirements into structured User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria (Gherkin/BDD syntax) and prepare technical specifications for SAFe Program Increment (PI) planning.

  • Change Management & Operational Adoption: Build user manuals, design training plans, and host live demonstrations to maximize site adoption of smart facility tools, workflow automation, and asset management systems.

  • Governance & Standards Compliance: Partner with internal governance functions to ensure all local physical and digital infrastructure implementations comply with global Airbus security, building standards, data privacy, and architectural guidelines.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the key liaison between site FMRE managers, security leads, vendors, and technical infrastructure teams to ensure unified project rollouts and value realization.

Your Boarding Pass

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise Project Management and Digital Transformation, with a proven emphasis on Facilities, Real Estate, or IT Infrastructure projects (building systems, IoT, physical security, connectivity, and OT systems) which is more relevant for this role than pure software development projects.

  • Agile Competency: Minimum 3 years of practical experience working within a formal Agile or SAFe operating model, collaborating directly with Product Owners, Product Managers, or engineering leads.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's / MBA / MIS preferred).

  • Technical & Agile Tools: High proficiency with Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, Digital.AI) and Google Workspace tools.

  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or PMI-ACP certifications. Experience with FMRE, Building Construction, Building Automation, or ServiceNow workflows is a strong plus.

  • Communication & Languages: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluency in French or Spanish is a strong asset.

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a hybrid setup with a minimum of 80% onsite presence.

  • Ability to walk through physical office spaces, facility mechanical rooms, and active manufacturing shop floors requiring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.

  • Ability to sit, stand, conduct presentations, and carry/lift lightweight documents, tools, or equipment up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to travel independently up to 20% (domestic and international) to regional facilities and corporate sites.
