As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll share responsibility for managing assigned projects while ensuring their accuracy, completeness, safety, and profitability. This role requires a solid working knowledge of the telecommunications industry, including Fiber to the Home (FTTH) systems, BAU phone design and construction, and familiarity with telecom and phone billing codes. You should possess experience with phone network design and field construction processes, as well as proficiency in using computers and project management software. A working knowledge of aerial lift devices, utility lines and poles, and various telecommunications construction equipment is essential. The ideal candidate can effectively read, interpret, input, and analyze technical data to support both fiber and phone infrastructure projects.

What you'll do
  • Provide supervision,development and support to team members across assigned projects, promoting safety, accuracy, and efficient performance.
  • Oversee FTTH and BAU phone design and construction activities, ensuring high-quality work, compliance, and on-time project delivery.
  • Review project tasks, documentation, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and customer standards.
  • Coordinate crews, schedules, materials, subcontractors, vendors, and customer expectations to support smooth project execution.
  • Manage and assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment of field activities, budgets, and timelines.
  • Implement and improve operational processes to streamline workflow, enhance communication, and reduce rework.
  • Communicate proactively with employees, contractors, vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues and maintain progress.
  • Monitor field operations, identify challenges, and support timely problem-solving to maintain safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Prepare, track, and maintain project updates, logs, documentation, and billing-related data with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain professionalism and sound judgment under pressure, making effective decisions in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to overall team and project success.

Support planning, scheduling, forecasting, and resource coordination to ensure projects meet expectations and strategic objectives.
What you'll need
  • Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and motor vehicle checks
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in telecommunications or construction
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and fiber network construction
