Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the planning and execution of global lab and data center infrastructure programs. This role will act as Graphcore's owner's representative, delivering mission-critical environments that support cutting-edge AI hardware development, testing, and deployment. You will drive end-to-end program execution across multiple regions, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and reliable infrastructure.
The Team
The Infrastructure and Labs team is responsible for designing, building, and scaling Graphcore's global data center and lab environments. The team collaborates across hardware engineering, operations, IT, and external partners to deliver world-class infrastructure for AI compute systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Act as Graphcore's owner's representative for global lab and data center builds, expansions, and retrofits.
  • Lead end-to-end program delivery across site selection, design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define technical requirements and capacity planning.
  • Manage external stakeholders including developers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Drive implementation of infrastructure systems including power, cooling, and network integration.
  • Ensure programs meet performance, reliability, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Establish and enforce design standards aligned with hyperscale data center environments.
  • Support commissioning and validation to ensure operational readiness.
  • Identify and drive innovation in cooling, efficiency, and scalability for AI workloads.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
  • 5-8 years of experience in technical program management, engineering, or infrastructure project delivery.
  • Experience acting as an owner's representative or client-side project manager.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure including power and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in hyperscale or high-performance computing environments.
  • Familiarity with design, construction, and commissioning processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong program management skills across schedule, cost, and risk.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
  • Experience with liquid cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion, etc.).
  • Experience delivering global infrastructure programs.
  • Knowledge of EHS, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure environments.
