As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise technology, employee platforms team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

Job responsibilities

  •  Leverage your deep technical knowledge and proven problem-solving skills to tackle projects of large scope, making a significant impact on our users' experience and the organization as a whole.

  •  Lead major initiatives involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, ensuring seamless execution and delivery at scale.

  • Collaborate with other platform teams to design and implement transformative changes that resolve complex issues and modernize our technology processes, driving innovation across the organization.

  • Execute innovative approaches for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of highly complex problems, ensuring robust and effective outcomes.

  • Carefully consider upstream and downstream data, systems, and technical impacts, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies to safeguard business operations.

  • Contribute to a team environment built on diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect, helping us grow stronger together

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 5+ years applied experience. 

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft products, including SharePoint, Exchange, Exchange Online, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.

  •  Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage high-stakes incidents with composure and effectiveness.

  • Advanced knowledge of at least one infrastructure technology and proficiency in scripting languages, especially PowerShell.

  •  A drive to expand your technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond your core product area.

  •  Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence partner teams by presenting data-driven recommendations for feature prioritization

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds'

  • A collaborative spirit and willingness to support your colleagues.

  • Ability to lead calls during major incidents, engaging the right experts to drive swift resolution.

  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering principles.

  •  Experience supporting applications on cloud infrastructure.

  • Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting
